I can:
read and analyze my articles
highlight and choose important data
list information in a graphic organizer
(create your own)
Weather is a specific event—like a rainstorm or hot day—that happens over a few hours, days or weeks.
Climate is the average weather conditions in a place over 30 years or more.
Today, we will continue to highlight and choose the information that we want to include in our reports by analyzing our articles and adding these facts in our organizer.
Remember, we do not want to highlight everything we are only looking for facts that we want to include that answers the question "Where is your Natural Wonder found" and relates to " Your Wonder's weather and climate"
Notice that I only copied what I highlighted and added it to column 2.
Notice how I organized my facts into chuncks (one abut where my natural wonder is and then about it's weather/ climate)
Your Turn: Take out your organizer from yesterday. You will be concentrating on the second column of your organizer titled "Weather/Climate & Where it is?" You will be capturing the important facts that you would like to include in that column. Remember to organize your information into two chucks and make a bulleted list.
