Does it ever happen to you?
You should work, but you can’t.
You find your walking boots and get out.
The smell of rain lingers in the air. A gentle breeze soothes your aching head. You watch the sun rays play with the golden leaves.
Today, we will read the story "The Game of Sience" As we read you will practice using your senses to visualize what is happening in the story.
Authors purposely use language intended to appeal to a reader’s senses to help them visualize the story as they read.
Good readers think about the author’s word choice to help them visualize, or create mental pictures of the characters and events in the story. Visualizing will help the reader better understand the text.
