4th and 5th Grade students from Clear Creek Intermediate presented an oral reading of the Preamble of the Constitution in honor of the 22 year mark of the September 11 tragedy.
Sanger ISD Chief of Police held the ceremonial swearing in and badge pinning of the two Sanger ISD Police Officers, Officer Victor Monjaraz and Officer Israel Demello.
Football has been working hard these last 3 weeks. The players are dedicated to each other as teammates, and are laying a strong foundation for the program.
Cross Country is dominating their meets. They have a big meet coming up in Arkansas soon that will be a good indicator of how the district meet will turn out.
Volleyball's Ella Reese broke her record by making her 1,000th assist on the court. The first district match will take place next Friday, 9/22.
Overall, athletes are performing with improvement in their academics thanks to a new program implemented by Coach Sykes, Coach Mann, Coach Harvey, and Coach Gillum
The Student Athlete Leadership Team met last week and is putting a focus on supporting each others teams as well as other school organizations.

The footer for the foundation of the new kitchen has been framed and is ready to be poured
Storm water drainage system is installed
Piers are poured for the new classroom additions and the plumbing for this area has been roughed in
The concrete foundation for the new storm shelter has been poured
Fire lane is nearing completion. Once underground utilities are finalized, the fire lane can be completed and construction can go vertical.
Agricultural Science Center
Ground has broken on the new site for the Ag Science Center. Right now there is a lot of dirt work being done to prepare for the foundation
Sanger High School
Construction team had a meeting last week with Pogue and VLK.
Ground Breaking Ceremony is being planned for sometime soon
The silt fencing should be installed in the next week or so, followed by the trailer and planning site move in
The board voted unanimously to accept a gracious donation of $4,500 from the North Texas Trinity Cowboy Church of Sanger to the Sanger ISD Community Outreach Program to support the Friday Backpack Program. This program provides meals for the weekend to students and families that would benefit that support.
In keeping with normal board meeting affairs, the board heard financial reports from CFO Monica Herren, an HR update from Deputy Superintendent Leann Loyless, and a Curriculum and Instruction update from Assistant Superintendent Jennie Flaa.
There were no speakers in open forum.
