Sanger High School Students FCCLA Regional President Gracie Giddens and Regional VP of Public Relations Taylor Price presented the successes and upcoming events of the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America at Sanger High School. They gave special recognition to teammate and SHS Sophomore Hannah Bates for placing Second at the National Competition for her project Digital Stories for Change: Online Digital Etiquette.
Sanger Middle School Art and Theater Teacher Richard Payne presented a campus spotlight with assistance from students who showcased their digital art portfolio and theatrical talents.
Deputy Superintendent Leann Loyless presented this month's update which focused on the TEA Intruder Detection Audits. These will be happening soon for all campuses. Linda Tutt High School has already had their audit and they passed with flying colors!

Volleyball remains undefeated in district play and are gearing up for a playoff run
Cross County competed well at the district meet, with both Varsity and JV girls winning the district championship. Boys Varsity came in second, just one point away from clinching the win.
They travel to Lubbock next week for what is sure to be an outstanding performance at Regionals
Overall, we saw an increase in student athlete academic performance at the conclusion of the grading period from progress reports
Project Manager Mr. Teems provided his monthly update to the board on the progress of construction for the bond projects.
Clear Creek Project:
New playground is installed and has begun being used!
Fire lane leading from southeast of property at Keaton is complete
First pour for the Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) walls for storm shelter portion of the addition will take place by the end of the week
Plumbing carriers for new classroom addition are installed and have passed inspection
Concrete Masonry Unit (CMU) along south wall for classroom additions as well as kitchen will be completed this week
Structural steel for kitchen will begin as soon as CMU is complete
Agricultural Science Center
The pad site is finished and all the select fill dirt has been brought in
All piers have been drilled and poured for the foundation
All plumbing for the septic system has been roughed in
Shop drawings for the actual building are complete
Sanger High School
Construction fencing is up and trailer is on site
All utilities have been located and marked
Waiting on grading permit for the site
Groundbreaking is scheduled for next week
In keeping with normal board meeting affairs, the board heard financial reports from CFO Monica Herren, an HR update from Deputy Superintendent Leann Loyless, and a Curriculum and Instruction update from Assistant Superintendent Jennie Flaa.
There were no speakers in open forum.
