Sanger ISD TELPAS testing is underway! The Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS) is an annual assessment for students identified as emergent bilingual students. TELPAS assesses English language proficiency in four language domains - listening, speaking, reading, and writing. We are very proud of our students, teachers, and administrators who have worked hard to prepare for TELPAS.
Sanger ISD administrators will attend an Apple Briefing on April 29th. An event designed to explore innovative ways to enhance education through technology. This briefing, hosted at the Apple offices in Austin, aims to provide insights into the latest advancements in educational technology and how these tools can be leveraged to empower our students and educators. The briefing will be a series of interactive workshops focusing on various topics such as digital literacy, supporting early literacy with devices, engaging teaching methods, and accessibility features for our diverse student population. These workshops will provide practical guidance and resources for administrators to support teachers in integrating technology effectively into their teaching practices.
The district purchased the Lowman 10-Day STAAR Blitz for each STAAR-tested grade level and content area to provide teachers with a consistent and comprehensive resource for STAAR preparation. This resource offers TEKS-aligned lessons, assignments, and warm-ups to allow students additional opportunities to reinforce the skills tested on the upcoming STAAR assessment. This also provides equitable opportunities for each campus to utilize the same resources, thus supporting the district's goal of curriculum consistency
