1st Graders from Chisholm Trail Elementary sang God Bless America for attendees and the board, after which PreK students from Butterfield Elementary conducted a Jingle Bell Parade!
Deputy Superintendent Leann Loyless presented this month's update, which focused on the TEA Intruder Detection Audits, which are in the process of being conducted for all campuses. Since the last board meeting, Sanger High School and Sanger Middle School have had their audit, during which all doors were found to be locked and secured. This brings the total number of campuses to receive their audit so far to 3, all of which passed with flying colors.
Additionally, Sanger ISD Police vehicles are in the process of receiving their identifying striping and graphics.
Coach Rogers gave a presentation to the board highlighting each of the 81 All-District or All-State honors awarded to Sanger Football, Volleyball, and Cross Country Athletes.
Project Manager Mr. Teems provided his monthly update to the board on the progress of construction for the bond projects.
Clear Creek Project:
The new storm shelter has the aluminum doors and frames installed, and the brick veneer should be completed before Christmas break
The brick veneer on the kitchen addition is complete, along with the roofing detail
Interior wall framing and drywall installation for the kitchen addition, classroom addition, and storm shelter are all underway or already completed.

The board voted unanimously to accept donations to the District from the Masonic Lodge and CoServ, both in the amount of $500.
Chief Financial Officer Monica Herren presented the annual public hearing of the school's FIRST Rating. FIRST is the state's school financial accountability rating system. Ratings presented were based on data from the 2021-2022 school year. Sanger ISD received a passing rating.
In keeping with normal board meeting affairs, the board heard financial reports from CFO Monica Herren, an HR update from Deputy Superintendent Leann Loyless, and a Curriculum and Instruction update from Director of Curriculum Tina Yant.
