Lifestyle Choices that Help with Hair Growth

Lifestyle choices can affect your hair growth. There are some good products, lifestyles, and foods that can help with hair growth. If you watch your lifestyle choices, you can maintain your hair loss.

There are lots of reasons you can have hair loss. It can be genetic or because of your lifestyle. Having a bad diet can be one of the main problems; your hair needs to have good protein to grow. Some bad diets that affect your hair growth are: high sugar, high fat, fasting, vegan, and low calories (Open Access Government). Another problem is how you style your hair or the products you use. Having your hair in a tight hairstyle can lead to traction alopecia, which is when your hair recedes, and you can’t grow hair there anymore (HRC). If you are having hair loss, it may be good to check your diet and how your hair is styled.

There are good choices to help maintain your hair growth. Getting a regular haircut helps avoid dry splitting ends, and it helps hair to have room to grow. Wearing your hair natural as much as you can will help with hair growth and keep hair healthier. Hot showers dry out your hair, and for some it takes out the coloring of your hair. Avoid hot tools as much as possible, but when needed use them correctly. Pullan, a hair specialist, says, "Keep it moving on a cooler setting and lower velocity. It takes a little bit longer, but the extra time will be beneficial." Deep conditioning once a week can help give extra hydration. Wearing hats can protect your hair from drying out (Real Simple).

There are a lot of foods in the world, but only some are good for your hair. You want foods with good protein, zinc, and iron. These are some foods that are good for your hair: eggs, berries, greek yogurt, green leafy vegetables, oily fish, sweet potato, avocado, nuts, seeds, soybeans, and meat. These foods are good for your hair because it helps with hair growth, helps give blood supply to the scalp, and good vitamins (Open Access Government).

There are some products that can help with hair loss. One of them is Kirkland Signature Minoxidil Hair Regrowth Treatment. This is a good option for a cheaper product. It may be for men, but it is useful for women too. It is recommended by dermatologists, because it is proven to help regrow hair. AL'IVER Rosemary Essential Oil is another good option. It helps with hair growth and thickness, and it helps nourish the scalp and strengthen the hair (Oprah Daily). If you are struggling with hair loss try one of these products.

Lifestyles can do so much to your hair growth. It is good to find lifestyles that can improve your hair growth and thickness. Find something that works for you.
