Quarterbacks in 2011

The clock is running out and the quarterback throws it… touchdown, they win the superbowl! The quarterbacks in 2011 had the most passing yards in a single season ever since the NFL started. Ben Roethlessberger, Cam Newton, and Philip Rivers had some of their best seasons in 2011.

Ben Roethlessberger had a good season in 2011. He played for the Steelers, and he led the steelers to have a record of 12 wins and 4 losses, it was one of his best seasons in his 18 seasons. Ben Roethlessberger ended the season with 21 touchdowns and 14 interceptions with a longest touchdown throw of 95 yards. Ben Roethlessberger had 4077 yards and completed 324 of his 513 attempts. Ben Roethlessberger had a nickname, it was Big Ben. According to his stats he was one of the better quarterbacks in 2011.

Cam Newton was a rookie in 2011. He set two records in one season for a rookie. One record was for passing yards with 4051 and the other was for rushing touchdowns with 14 (they were only for a rookie). He also won offensive rookie of the year. During this season he made a celebration called the superman, which gave him the nickname superman Cam. He had 21 touchdowns but had 17 interceptions in the season with a longest pass of 91 yards. Cam Newton had a record of 6 wins and 10 losses this was on eod his worst seasons in his career. This was Cam Newton's best NFL season according to his stats.

Philip Rivers was in his 8th season in 2011. He played for the San Diego State Chargers. He had 366 completions with a total of 582 attempts. He threw for 4,624 yards with 27 touchdowns and 20 interceptions but a long of only 58 yards. He ended the season with 8 wins and 8 losses  during this season. This was one of his best NFL careers according to his stats.

These three quarterbacks are sometimes known as the best when they played in the NFL. As you can see the quarterbacks had a lot of different and good statistics. The quarterbacks now are barely ever if ever in the position the quarterbacks back then were in.
