Billion Dollar Movies

Some might not think that kid movies are that good, but they really are well received from the public. In 2012, some great kid movies came out. Some of the movies that came out in 2012 include: The Lorax, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, Wreck-it Ralph, Brave, and Ice Age: Continental Drift.

The three well-known movies of 2012 have sold over 79 million tickets. The first movie, The Lorax, had 26,888,253 tickets sold! Another, popular movie that year was Wreck-it Ralph. This movie sold 22,424,829 tickets. However, the movie made by Disney called Brave, sold 29,808,677 tickets. In total, 79,121,759 tickets were sold with these three movies combined.

The following movies almost made $2 billion. The movie, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, made $742.1 million. On the other hand, Ice Age: Continental Drift made approximately $875 million. The Lorax made $348.8 million. In total, of only these three movies, almost $2 billion was made.

The reason why they sold this much money and tickets is probably because they had popular voice actors and studios for some of the movies. These include: Taylor Swift, Walt Disney, and many more. The movie, Brave, probably had so many tickets sold because the movie Hunger Games came out only about three months before this movie and the movie, Brave, shows girl power, while Hunger Games showed power and wealth. Also, Brave was made by Walt Disney, along with Wreck-It-Ralph. In all, these movies were well received by the public.

Afterall, 2012 was a very good movie year. It was the first year to have four movies in the billion-dollar milestone. Passing the previous year with three billion dollar films. That is very hard to get, but we can still watch these movies today! So, after all, kid movies were very good in 2012 and are still worth watching.
