Course Description
- First Year Chemistry topics include the introductory principles of inorganic chemistry, i.e., atomic theory, bonding, gas laws, states of matter and the mechanisms of chemical reactions. Student-led research presentations will be used to explain some of the concepts in this course. Students will have an opportunity to gain an understanding of the history of chemistry, to explore the uses of chemistry in various careers, and to learn and practice lab safety.
