This presentation by Ian was kinda repetitive but i at least had some form of previously understood context which was something I previously asked for. Kind of. Loved how there was not much to copy although it was slightly dry in terms of content. Learnt some stuff along the way, jokes that *actually* helped me learn. The Kahoot was fun (first time top 15 yay). I learnt that aliens may exist in other planets and some precautions to take.

Notes:

In all known forms of life, water and sufficient amounts of certain air qualities are the basis of their existence. Goldilocks zone is not too hot/cold. Gauges possible planets that contain life. Apparent contradiction for the lack of evidence and high probability estimates for the existence of extraterrestrial civilisations. An "evolutionary path" in which intelligent life would have to take before discovering us or other colonies of extra-terrestrial origin (some steps required). The absence of any sign of life in space would mean that one of the steps is improbable to work, if one step fails they say intelligent life starts from scratch. To find possible extra-terrestrial life, radio signals are used. SETI are scientific searches using em radiation for signs of transmission. If alien life were to be advanced enough, we could find megastructures, acting as a sort of lighthouse.
