Details and Abstract Compositions
Details/Abstract Compositions
For this roll of film, I want you to focus your vision and your cameras on details of everyday objects and small parts of the big picture.
Try to see everyday things in a new way.
Try leaving out some information, enough so that the subject looks new and the object obscure or even abstract.
Remember if there is an element of mystery people will take the time to figure it out; everyone loves a puzzle.
Think about the art principle of repetition or rhythm when considering these and don't forget the compositional hints from the 1st quarter.
Remember to try to think/see in black and white. Look for values and tonal differences.
