September 8-11, 2020

This week we finished Be A Perfect Person in Just Three Days. This book is always a hit with the students as it combines comedy with learning the lesson that no one is perfect!

We focused on:

• how to learn new vocabulary (Wacky Words) as we read

• identifying important events in the story

• answering comprehension questions

• making connections

In math we reviewed previously learned math skills by playing card games, completing math centers and working on Moby Max (which provides assignments for students based on their individual needs).

We began our first thematic unit which is the study of geography. Students were introduced to the geography, landforms and natural resources of the United States.

We have enjoyed having our foldable chairs to take outside to enjoy snack and a mask break while we are 6 feet apart!
