Fourth graders are currently working on a joint French/Art painted autumn leaf project with Mme. Michaelson and Ms. Hecht. The students are deepening their learning about the color wheel as they explore warm and cool colors, primary and secondary colors, and tertiary colors, now in French. It is a wonderful opportunity for the teachers to partner together to enrich the learning process.
Mr. Braband's Going Away Party- Thurs. 1-2pm.
We have all enjoyed having Mr. Braband in our class this year. His last official day was Tuesday, but the students wanted to have a Going Away Party for him. We are in the process of writing letters to Mr. Braband that we will compile into a book. Also, thanks to Mrs. Montgomery and Mrs. Borovski, we will also be gifting Mr. Braband with a picture of the class that the students will sign. Many students have asked if they can bring a gift on their own and I asked them to discuss it with their parents. If you would like to send in some chips, drinks, or sweet treats, we will add that to our celebration. I will have plates, cups, and napkins just in case. Please remember, we do have students with kiwi, strawberry, nut, and dairy allergies.
Grandparents and Special Friends Day
Tuesday, November 26th, 8:30am-11:00am
A wonderful annual tradition at Roycemore is Grandparents and Special Friends Day. We invite all Grandparents and Special Friends to join us for a Grandparents' Day celebration. The event will take place from 8:30-11am and will feature performances by the Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School Choirs and Tumblers. Then the special friends and grandparents will go to our classroom where they will do activities with their children. Parents are invited to the performance, but we ask only grandparents and special friends go the classrooms.
Fourth graders should bring or wear their tumbling attire. All students are asked to wear black shorts, leggings, or sweatpants, a black t-shirt and white socks.
Many students have requested that I send home information about ordering books from Scholastic Classroom Book Club. If you would like to place an order, please use the links below so that our class can earn free books for our class library.The books will ship (for free!) directly to our classroom.
