Improve your memory and help reduce your stress!
Mindfullness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. Benefits of mindfulness practices can reduced stress, boost working memory, and lower emotional reactivity.
Visualization to release stress: Imagine what stress looks and feels like inside your body... now try to release it.
Take a look at this short video to see how it can be done!
During this time of uncertainty there are many individuals that are sacrificing their time with family to protect yours. Medical professionals, grocery store employees, truck drivers and many more professions that are essential to our daily lives.
A little note of kindness can go a long way in helping these individuals continue the fight and keep pushing on! Find someone you know that is an essential work and write them a note expressing your gratitude.
This lesson will help you identify thoughts you may be experiencing that may bring on worry or anxiety.
Are you finding it to be a little difficult to feel thankful with everything that's going on? That’s ok, I think many of us are. But what you may not realize is how we can be grateful for even the tiniest things in our lives. Take some time to reflect on what we may have, that others don't.
Write what you are thankful for on a post-it note and place where you can see it. After one week, you may realize we have a lot to be thankful for!
Praise our family members!
Chances are, most of your family members have been at your house for a few weeks now. Many of us might be irritable with having so much time with one another! Take a few minutes to give a family member a compliment, a thank you, or just say something nice to them! You never know how easy it can be to "make their day".
Did you try an activity every day?
