Here are some things you can do every day to de-stress, focus, and continue developing positive behaviors and mindsets.

Check in every week for new ideas.

Make a mask- monday

As you know, we’re required to wear masks when we go out now. You may need a mask but haven’t been able to get access to one, or you may know a neighbor that’s in need of one. Either way, here are a view videos of some creative ways to make your own mask at home!

kindness- tuesday

During this time of uncertainty there are many individuals that are sacrificing their time with family to protect yours. Medical professionals, grocery store employees, truck drivers and many more professions that are essential to our daily lives.

A little note of kindness can go a long way in helping these individuals continue the fight and keep pushing on! Find someone you know that is an essential work and write them a note expressing your gratitude.

Paint party- wednesday

Art can serve as an incredible outlet to helping us build our self-esteem and become more self-aware. Art can also really help us express our emotions in a way other than words.

Painting is a good craft for families because everyone can do it. Little kids to grandparents. Set up a craft night with snacks and drinks for your household. This can be a good project for younger ones. You could suggest having them make cards for your neighbors or other family members. You could even set up a painting competition over facetime or Zoom to include other friends or family. There are endless possibilities and endless types of paints ranging from acrylic, watercolor, oil, house paint, ink etc. If you are really feeling ambitious, you could paint a room in your house.

o Paint a picture o Paint thank you cards or invitations o Paint some ceramics (pots, plates, mugs) o Paint your walls or house

TED Talk-thursday

When things get difficult we have several different options as to ways we can respond. When we’re not understanding math, we can give up or try harder. When we’ve become overwhelmed by a project, we can procrastinate or prioritize tasks. The TED Talk you’re about to listen to will give you the secret into being successful, not just in school, but in life.

Family time-

friday

Go on a bear hunt! This “Teddy Bear Hunt” is a game where you compete to see how many teddy bears, stuffed animals, or pictures you can spot in the windows or outside of people's houses while you are out walking or driving around. People from all over the world have been participating by setting stuff animals in their windows. Not everyone has stuffed animals to be put out so as an alternative people are also placing rainbows that have been drawn on their windows or door instead. You can take pictures of the most unique bears you find along the way.
