Often times our social media feeds can be filled with negativity, especially given our current circumstances. But the reality is, there is a lot going on in the world to be excited and happy about! Try following a “good news” profiles like “the_happy_broadcast” or subscribing to “Some Good News” on YouTube. Following sources like this can help fill your mind with positivity and hope.
During this time of uncertainty there are many individuals that are sacrificing their time with family to protect yours. Medical professionals, grocery store employees, truck drivers and many more professions that are essential to our daily lives.
A little note of kindness can go a long way in helping these individuals continue the fight and keep pushing on! Find someone you know that is an essential work and write them a note expressing your gratitude.
The mission, if you choose to accept it is: To make a video that shows your favorite way to be kind to yourself and to others while we are confined and post it to social media. The video can be about whatever you want, whatever kindness you do that brings you joy and joy to someone else. If you can’t make a video, right a list and take a picture. Invite others to participate.
Go through your closet and drawers and see if there are any clothes that you no longer wear. You may even have some old toys laying around that you haven’t touched for years. Make a collection of these items that you can donate to help those in need.
Take this time to connect with everyone in your house. Leave cell phones, tablets, and any other electronic device off and away from the table. Take the time to really listen and share with those you live with.
