Here's an activity you can do anywhere in your home. This is called a grounding exercise and it serves to reduce stress levels and improve your mood. The goal is to bring yourself to focus on the "current moment". In this activity you use your 5 senses to focus on the present. I like to sit on the floor by a window or somewhere the sun is hitting.
Can you find...
5 things you can see - the sun, a poster, a family member
4 things you can feel - the clothes on your back, the floor you are sitting on
3 things you can hear - birds, a dog barking, rain falling, music
2 things you can smell - dinner cooking, a candle
1 things you can taste - toothpaste, snack you just ate
