Hi Riverside Prep Family,
No matter what is going on in the world it is important to check in with ourselves and ensure that we are taking care of our emotional and mental health as well as our physical health. In fact, many times physical health and mental health can be closely related. When we are physically active our bodies produce endorphins which can reduce pain, make us feel happier, and produce a feeling a positive energy.
Exercise can:
Improve our level of physical fitness
Increase our ability to concentrate
Improve our academic scores
Strengthen our hearts, lungs, muscles, and bones
Increase our energy levels
Enhance our emotional wellbeing
Our physical education department will be sharing videos for students and families to stay fit while at home. Check back regularly for new additions.
