Live pointers are a new feature in Google Slides that allow students to see each other's mouse pointer in real time. When multiple people are editing a file at the same time, users will be able to see "where" in the file others are working. This feature is OFF by default. To activate live pointers, go to View > Live pointers > show my pointer. Live pointers will remain visible across all slides until you turn them OFF.
