Need to tune out excess noise to be able to focus? Students and teachers are going to love Tree FM! People from around the world have recorded the sounds of their local forests to create this unique forest radio experience. Drowning out distractions isn't digital forest bathing's only benefit. Research has shown that nature-made sounds can improve cognitive performance, enhance one's mood, as well as reduce stress (Buxton, 2021). Click on "Listen to a Random Forest" to start. Stay listening to one forest, or click "Next Forest Please" to try another.
Read&Write now has an AI Beta feature that simplifies text on a website, making content easier for students to comprehend. This new powerful feature is embedded in the Simplify Page tool. Watch the short video to the right for a demo.
Rewordify is another new Read&Write Chrome extension feature that uses artificial intelligence to simplify text levels without changing meaning. Using context clues, Rewordify identifies challenging words or phrases and replaces them with simpler alternatives. When activated, the Rewordify tool will italicize words for students to simplify. Clicking on the italicized words allows students to adjust text readability.

A Brain Dump is when you write down EVERYTHING you can remember about a topic. In this activity, students will jot down what THREE brains can remember 🤓. Set Brain Dump timers to add a sense of urgency. Thirty seconds for round one, and sixty seconds for the following two rounds makes this an easy-to-last-minute-plan/ fast-paced activity.
