As our truck moves, so do the Christmas lights. The glistening sparkle of the downtown decorations are everywhere. With my Grinch popcorn in one hand, and my vanilla candy cane frappuccino in the cup holder to my right. My family and I glance out the window in awe. The place is so full of joy. As we turn the corner, we catch a glimpse of the City Hall, and just beside it is a gigantic, green Christmas tree. The white and blue lights dance rhythmically, gracefully descending down the tree, the red, green and gold ornaments sparkle and shine. As I trace my eyes to the top of the tree, the beautiful, glittery, gold star catches my attention. The lights on the inside of the star spill out of the star’s exterior design, the slow fading of the tree responding to the stillness of the star. I reach into my brown paper bag and feel the hardened candy melts and popcorn. As the Grinch popcorn reaches my lips, I can immediately taste the sweetness of the green chocolate and the sweet n’ salty popcorn. I am surprised by a red m&m, it mixes with the popcorn and candy melts. The chocolate overtakes the taste and compliments the flavour of the popcorn. As I reach into the bag for another handful, I feel a soft, squishy marshmallow in my palm, immediately I bring the handful to my mouth and taste the heavenly sensation of the popcorn, chocolate, candy melts and marshmallows.
