On the way home from Grandpa’s, Lily gazes at the sky wishing upon every star in sight. The engine hums and rattles as the snow is heavy to push and fearlessly growls when the streets begin to appear. She watches the snow fall and pictures beautiful snowflakes one by one hitting the ground for as far as one can see. Even though humans can't see the beauty of each individual unique flake, Lily always thought of it as the most beautiful thing for the reason that the best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched—they must be felt with the heart. A quote her dad would always tell her on a cozy afternoon after a warm hot chocolate not only warming herself but the heart as well. The rain was always her favorite but she thought of snow more as an angelic conversion. The natural fall of the snow creates this vicious bone breaking substance that hides and could change peoples futures forever, if there's even a future left over. The sun begins to set right at the horizon looking one last time before it wakes us back up to a new start to our day. It reminds lily that her dad is in the sky and making the sunset even prettier then ever. The sun begins to sink lower and lower like the snow. Lily closes her eyes and images feathers flouting to and fro so softly imitating the It's a very quiet ride home as Christmas music plays on the radio in the background. Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer pops in her mind as she pictures him playing in the soft snow. Lily liked things to be organized and in her control and after that Christmas she thinks everything may change. For comfort she glances back up at the stars because it's comforting to know those will never change and will forever revolve around the one star shining brighter than all.
