a) User Friendly
b) Suggestion:-recraft some of the drop down boxes as some are duplicates, some worded badly. Also need to go back a reinstate a progression/order.
c) 6 year Survey Report needs to have a photo to personalise it. Comment box could be reduced in size and allocated space for a photo.

Liked the interview in Term 2
Set up was good. Parents liked the pictures to see where they should be. Good being able to show parents where their children should be (National Standard) and show them from the actual testing (Running Records, IKANS) etc specifically what they need to work on.
Changes to the system, didn’t get the blank slips for parents who had not made appointments. Usually get 100% attend only got 60% this time (Carol)
We would liked to have seen the March data on the reports. A lot of work was done.
.Liked the format
6 year old reports are confusing to the parents because they don’t understand them as its all teacher talk. Too specific.
We would like to let the parents know letters they know but not necessarily the details about concepts of print etc. Want to let them know things they are able to help with at home.
Would like a more specific way of working out attendance.

Like to send home reports day before interview. Parents have had a chance to think about things, have the big picture, and what they want to know.
Prefer reports in term 2, so maybe testing needs to happen term 2
parents wanting specifics during the interview of how to help - we had some math examples (thanks Lisa) of what to do at home, understanding the continuum (where we are going), plan to come up with something for literacy as well for next time
consistency of tick boxes across school - national standards, parents upset with the 3’s because used to getting 4 and 5, seemed to be a big deal that they were doing poorly there, more so upset with that than the basic 3 r’s
we were somewhat upset that March results were taken out after all our hard work to put them in.
Max somehow get the name visible so we know who’s card we are on - up in tool bar
attendance - print off from office and send home in envelope instead of looking up each individual child and rating them as good, excellent, etc.
Max - automatic NSN, ethnicity, etc.
- how important is it to include homework on a report card?
Report Reflection/Changes 11/711:
- NSN number, gender, nationality is added automatically when the name is plugged in
- All drop down menus are in teacher speak - is this a problem?
- Radio button in the Key Competencies section - don't have to 'Option Paste' in a tick, is a bullet point like homework
- March graph data - does it need to be on the first half year report; -we had serious discrepancies between Dec 2010 & March 2011 for a whole variety of reasons.

Reports reflection -
- The timing of sending it home would be better sooner
- The value is in the conversation
- Language used in ‘Next steps’ etc Teacher speak! Do we need to rework
- Glad the March Data wasn’t on report :) Took some pressure off.
- Challenging to get the decimal point right - moderating time needs time allocated for those robust discussions to happen
- Some way of including hard data e.g. reading age
- bland/ impersonal
- a whole lot of manual data entry that is incredibly time consuming - would be great if it could be generated automatically on entering childs name and DOB or something...
