Despite the weather our kids were outstanding!!
Costuming was amazing.
The lead up had run really smoothly.
Security was great
Walkway was great for access
Food stalls were great
Needed wet weather contingency and discussed prior with everyone.
Tarpaulins weren't ideal with that much rain
Need more seating for Tutors and Teachers
Parents kept pushing in and this made it hard to move kids between seating and stage.
Kids in rooms by food-stalls was challenging as stallholders used these rooms to access power
Not enough seating room for all of the groups allowed
Some kids stayed home
Kids being oiled need tarps down
Perhaps a separate space for the Tongan groups
Young kids needs to be located in classes close to toilets.
Practising staging areas needed to be marked more clearly (wore off over time).
Maybe go back to just a senior and junior Kapahaka group like previous years as many of the ones who usually are in the kapahaka groups choose to go in a different culture group for Fiafia. Juniors could definitely benefit from having some Year 4's.
Pros/cons of having it on the last day of term.
