Fun Fact: I love fall time! One of my favorite seasons especially because I love pumpkin flavor anything (coffee, pastries, etc.) I recently became a college graduate and my two wonderful little ones were there to watch me walk across the stage. It was my proudest moment for myself and to be the example to my children.

My goal for P.S 214 as a PTA Member: As a prior student of P.S 214, I want to give back to the students currently in attendance through various events, fundraisers, etc. I want to reach out and make ties within the community to bring more opportunities for the school. I want families to feel comfortable knowing who we are as a PTA team and bring all ideas to us to make your child’s year a memorable one. I would like for us to jump back from COVID 19 and make this year and many more years a fun experience! 

PTA Vice President: Kate Feuer

Years on the PTA: 1st year

Fun fact: I like making homemade healthy meals for my family. My go-to pancake batter recipe uses seven different flours.

Goal for P.S. 214 as a PTA Member: I will support families in partnering with P.S. 214 to create the best educational experience for your child. I want to foster an environment of inclusion, where every parent should feel comfortable asking for help and/or bringing up concerns involving your child's education and emotional well-being. Families are essential when it comes to advocating for your child’s resources and needs. Let’s work together to continue to help the P.S. 214 community thrive!

Fun Fact: I love the style of the 1940s and 50s

My goal for the P.S. 214 PTA is to continue to foster community between parents and school staff through volunteering. 

PTA Treasurer: Alemnesh Segni

Years on PTA: 1st Year

Fun Fact: I have Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration; I’m a mom to 3 wonderful boys; My favorite flower is sunflower; My favorite book is the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

Goal for P.S. 214 as a PTA Member: My goal is to increase participation among parents and plan fun activities and trips for the students.
