Ms. Murad (ENL)

My name is Mrs. Murad and I am honored to be your child's ENL teacher.  I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from St. John's University.  After 4 years of teaching fourth and fifth grade, I earned a Master's Degree in TESOL from The College of New Rochelle.  

My goal for my multilingual learners is for them to be part of a welcoming environment while providing rigorous instruction through their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.  I believe all students' cultural and linguistic identities and diverse abilities are affirmed, so they can experience school with a sense of belonging and purpose. 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.   I enjoy going to broadway shows, party planning, interior decorating, and traveling with my family.  Our end of the summer tradition is a fun-filled trip to Hersheypark.  We love riding roller coasters and eating lots of chocolate.
