WHAT IS STEM?

SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATH
STEM engages students in asking questions and solving problems related to the world.
STEM uses the engineering-design process to identify problems, design possible solutions, and evaluate those solutions.
STEM seeks to make connections that make science, math, and technology relevant to our lives.

WHAT DOES STEM LOOK LIKE AT PS214Q?

STEM projects depend on the grade. Here are some examples of projects that we might do this year:
- Video production techniques using Stop Motion, Animation and Green Screen.
- Coding through programs such as “Scratch.com” and “Code.org”.
- Projects with Augmented Reality.
- Engineering projects.
Students meet in the STEM LAB once or twice a week for 50 minutes.
