Ms. Evangelou
Hello! My name is Ms. Evangelou. I am honored to be a part of the P.S. 214 family. I graduated Queens College with a B.A. in Childhood Education Grades 1-6 and Sociology. I furthered my education at Queens College and received a M.A. in Special Education. I have experience teaching grades 1-5. As a child it was my dream to become a teacher, so I am proud to say - I am living my dream.
As an educator I believe all children can learn and grow in their own special way. I believe a classroom should be a kind and respectful place where students can feel free to engage in the learning process and share their ideas. It is important for students to set goals and work rigorously to accomplish them.
On my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, visiting museums, zoos, and aquariums. I also enjoy traveling the world and learning about all different cultures and traditions. My favorite part of traveling is tasting foods from around the world. Going to Broadway shows is another thing I enjoy doing on my free time.
