Mission Statement

P.S. 214 is a diverse and collaborative school dedicated to achieving high standards of academic excellence for all of our students. The mission of the Cadwallader Colden School is to maintain high expectations for all constituents, provide opportunities for meaningful family engagement, celebrate cultural diversity, to provide programs with access for all students that foster creativity, promote college and career readiness, critical thinking, high level problem solving skill and the ability to adapt to our ever-changing global society. Our mantra is to never give up, encourage others and always do your best.

P.S. 214Q:

~ Serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5.

~ Has General Education classrooms and Integrated Collaborative Teaching Classrooms.

~ Provides instruction to all students in Visual Arts, Music, Physical Education and STEM each week.

~ Has a beautiful 400 seat auditorium as well as a full size gymnasium, and cafeteria.

~ Has a small playground and garden on the school property.

~ Has access to a NYC Park which shares the block with our school.
