Recalling the Friday trips to the laundromat with my mother and brother I created a tiny laundromat; reminiscent of the smell of clean laundry and the warmth I felt when my mom gave in and handed me a few pieces from the dryer to put into the bag to take home.

In response to Song 2: Lord Amid the Clouds, which is written in the girls point of view. I took a spin on it with my response poem, and wrote in the Lords point of view. In my poem he talks about his Lady, who is a princess who doesn't always act like one but he loves her all the same and would protect her with his own life. Accompanying this poem is a hairpiece given from the Lord to his Lady, crafted mostly from metal pieces and with a stone secured with wire.

A ritual alter for sleep, inspired by Native American Vision quests. Fashioned like a mobile of sorts: including small pillars adorned with small beads and jewels. The butterflies on the chain and other gold elements are representative of finding new beginnings and/or new value in your life. Similar to vision quests where young people are meant to find their purposes in life.

Moving my blanket den to my living room, I still kept the origional reference in mind. It was harder to construct than before, when youre a small child a blanket fort seems bigger than it is.
