I REST IN PRESENCE

I rest in Presence. I rest today in quietness, unshaken by the world’s appearances. I reside in peace and stillness, in the midst of all the turmoil born of clashing dreams. I know safety and happiness, although I seem to be looking at danger and sorrow.

I rest in Presence. This thought has the power to wake the sleeping truth in everyone who lives. Here is the end of suffering for the entire world.

I rest in Presence. Completely undismayed, this realization carries all through storms and strife, past misery and pain, past loss and death, and onward to the certainty of Ultimate Truth. There is no suffering it cannot heal. There is no problem that it cannot solve. And all appearance will turn to truth before the eyes of whoever rests in the Presence.

I rest in Presence. This is the day of peace. While the world is torn by winds of hate, my rest remains completely undisturbed. Mine is the rest of truth. Appearances cannot intrude upon me. And I call on everyone to join me in my rest.

I rest in Presence. In Presence I have no past regrets, no cares or concerns, no burdens, no anxiety, no pain, and no fear of the future. In timelessness I rest, while time goes by without its touch upon me, for my rest can never change in any way. No more fearful dreams will come now that I rest in Presence.

I rest in Presence. Each hour that I take my rest today, a tired mind is suddenly made glad, a bird with broken wings begins to sing, a stream long dry begins to flow again. The world is born again each time I rest and remember that I came to bring the peace of Presence into the world that it might take its rest along with me.

I rest in Presence. With each moment that I rest today, the world is nearer waking. And the time when rest will be the only thing there is comes closer to all worn and tired minds, too weary now to go their way alone. And with hope reborn and energy restored all will walk with lightened steps along the road that suddenly seems easy as they go.

I rest in Presence. I rest within the peace of Presence today, and call upon my brothers and sisters to rest along with me. I bring everyone into the boundless circle of my peace, the holy sanctuary where I rest. I have opened the doors of my heart and bid everyone from far across the world to enter here and rest with me.
