The Department of Dentistry is a specialized service for the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with dental disease and related issues. It is made up of an experienced team of paediatric dentists, orthodontists, prosthodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, and endodontics. We provide family-centred care and offer treatments and therapies based on the best evidence.

This program facilitates the orthodontic treatment of deserving young Canadians who would otherwise not be able to afford braces. Applicants to the program must be under 14 years old. Patients who are accepted for treatment through the program will be treated by a local participating orthodontist. Patients’ families are only required to pay a $500 administrative fee, generally less than 10% of a complete course of treatment.
