Articulate a public commitment to GSPBL and a vision for how it serves and aligns with other district initiatives
Advocate for all students, especially Black and Brown students, to experience GSPBL, with high expectations and support for their success
Culture: Develop and sustain a district-wide culture that promotes GSPBL as a vehicle for advancing excellence and equity for all students; while encouraging greater collaboration and support among teachers and leaders.
Promote effective implementation of GSPBL, emphasizing how it connects with the core values of the district and promotes equity.
Model and expect adults to collaboratively examine practice and to provide and receive high-quality peer-to-peer feedback
Engage families and community members as active participants in presentations of learning at all levels.
Capacity Building: Support school leaders in their work to support teachers to design and implement high-quality projects that advance learning for all students and accelerate learning for the students furthest from opportunity.
Identify district policies and structures that might support and/or inhibit implementation of GSPBL
Develop district-level capacity to support the implementation and sustainability of PBL at the school level
Model change leadership strategies to support school leaders
Continuous Improvement: Lead an ongoing process of reflection, adaptation, and growth to improve student learning outcomes through the use of GSPBL.
Create opportunities for schools to learn with and from one another regarding the implementation of GSPBL
Lead the development of an evidence framework to measure and track progress toward graduate profile outcomes and key indicators at the school, classroom, and student level
