Since most PCTs work in a hospital setting, it will allow certified graduates to work night shifts and still attend classes during the day if they choose to attend college after high school.

Patient Care Techs work alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assist with a mix of clinical duties and patient daily care. The day-to-day responsibilities vary depending on the department in which they work. Common duties include:
Assist patients with daily needs
Measuring vital signs, such as temperature, weight, and blood pressure
Assisting nurses with patient examinations
Perform EKGs & basic phlebotomy tasks
Perform wound care
Prepare laboratory samples for testing
A PCT can work in a hospital setting, doctor's office, urgent care clinics, or free standing clinics.

medical terminology basics, anatomical directions, skeletal, muscular, integumentary, lymphatic, and cardiovascular systems. We will also cover a unit on medical career exploration.

PCT Teddy Bear Clinic
Hosted by our junior class for the Junior Academy's in school field trip. We perform wellness checks on the Pre-K students' teddy bears, and show them around our medical lab. It truly is a fantastic event for all!
