Week beginning - Monday 9th February 2026
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!
Our SATs practice week has been very successful, this is down to the children's sensible choices, flexibility and persistence. We have seen improvements in attitude and pace and aim to use weeks such as these to help prepare the children emotionally, logistically and accademically for the formal SATs in May.
In addition to this, we have continued to write from the perspective of time travellers. This time, awaking in a Victorian prison and finding a formal letter, written from another inmate to a recipient of the children's choice (a family member, MP, lawyer or even Queen Victoria herself!)

This determination has really paid off, and you have showcased fantastic writing and strong assessment scores. Well done — you are doing incredibly well!

This week, Zac has shown flexibility and responsibility around SATs practices. He has written independently and confidently about life in a Victorian prison and he has been able to make excellent links between his existing knowledge and our new learning.
