Week beginning - Monday 9th February 2026
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!
In maths, pupils have been developing their understanding of fractions by finding fractions of amounts, using practical resources and problem-solving to build confidence. In art, they created striking polystyrene prints inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry, carefully designing and printing repeating patterns linked to our history learning. In science, the class carried out an investigation to test which materials work best as thermal insulators and measuring temperature changes over time. To bring our history topic to life, pupils have also been writing exciting narratives based on a fictional battle between the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons, focusing on atmosphere, action and strong descriptive language.
