Week beginning - Monday 26th January 2026
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!
We have had a fascinating week exploring how transport might affect our world through our Inquiry. The children have become real-life scientists, investigating the "invisible" impact transport has on the air we breathe and the spaces we live in. The children conducted a "Sticky Air" experiment, observing and comparing how soot and dust from vehicles can be trapped in the air, sparking great discussions on how "People Power" like walking and scooting helps keep the Earth’s air clean.
In Maths, we have been focusing on the numbers 6, 7, and 8, exploring the different ways these numbers can be composed using various objects and "part-whole" models.
We have also started learning our new sh and -ng digraphs in phonics; please continue to support your child's progress by reading together for a few minutes each day.
On a separate note, if you have any spare uniform you no longer need—particularly trousers—we are currently in need of donations for our spare clothes box and would be very grateful for any items you can provide.
