Santa's Little Helper
Nala visited the children's ward at Conquest Hospital with her dad and grandmother to deliver presents on behalf of My Choice Children's Homes.
What a lovely thing to do! Well done Nala.
Martial Arts Success!
Brody attends Martial Arts on a Friday and recently passed his assessment meaning that he is now a Red Belt.
He was super proud of himself (as were his family)!
Well done Brody!
Climb Every Mountain
Brave and athletic Arthur from Year 4, recently climbed Pen Y Fan which is south Wales' highest mountain at 886 meters high. It took him 3 hours to climb so he needed lots of energy, determination and resilience. Arthur was really proud of his achievement and so are we!
Fabulous job, Arthur.
Dancing Queens
A huge well done to Maddie & Poppy who recently took their Primary Modern dance exam, passing with flying colours.
The girls dance at Elation Dance, in Ore Village, and are both excelling in this field.
Dance is a wonderful way to express yourself and build your confidence.
We are very proud of both Maddie and Poppy.
Pupil Leadership Membership
Congratulations to Aoife and Ellen who have been selected to join our Junior Leadership Team. This is a prestigious position for exemplary role models and excellent representatives of the school and our values. We are excited to have you join the team.
Thank you to all those who applied to the JLT and wrote personalised letters as part of the selection process. Mrs Campbell really enjoyed reading them.
We LOVE reading!
It was a pleasure to present these little bookworms with certificates for taking part in the Summer Reading Challenge. Great job everyone!
We are really lucky to have a library in Ore Village where we can borrow books for free. If you haven’t done so already, pop in and set yourself up as a library member.
At OVPA, we read every morning as soon as we come in to school whilst having our bagels and cereal. We have a dedicated reading lesson, separate to our writing lesson, and we enjoy a story at the end of each day. There are plenty of books in our school library for the children to read and Mrs Wade, along with her Reading Harbour helpers, are always around to support.
No wonder we have so many fabulous readers, they get plenty of practice! Keep reading at home with your child as it makes all the difference
