Hi Athena! I love your name by the way-- the goddess of wisdom. I love Greek mythology. I was actually really surprised to read your background of Who I Am because most education majors want to teach because of the teachers that inspired and pushed them. I relate to you where you talked about 'good' and 'bad' educators. My biggest influence to become a teacher was that I struggled reading growing up and I felt more judged than supported from some of my teachers. I love how we both want to become teachers ourselves to provide more positive environments for students and teach them respect, kindness, and how to be open about their feelings. I really like your page and resonated with your educational philosophies. Great work. -Auburn Fowlkes
Hey, Athena! I'm really glad you plan on focusing on accessibility in the classroom! Growing up I've witnessed many moments where teachers have not understood and therefore not catered properly to kids with physical disabilities. Knowing that someone with experience and understanding is going into the workforce to change the standard gives me hope for the teachers of the future! ~Andrew Small
Hey Athena! I think its so incredibly important for those who have lived experiences with disabilities to share their stories with other. And within education, how one can best adapt their classroom to help provide a bit of aid to those who need it. I wish you the best of luck in your journey!-Alexandria Christian
Morning, love the page paper material, also looking on your struggle with teachers is something so many deal with. Hopefully our colleages and us can change that. - Ayden Bishop
