Anastazia Jackson
My name is Anastazia Jackson. I am an Adolescent Education major with a concentration in History. I am a sister, auntie, and a first-generation business owner/entrepreneur. I am from The Bronx, NYC and my hometown morphed me into the person I am today. The known "Concrete Jungle" curated me into a determined, headstrong character filled with individuality. I'm a true creative that finds beauty in everything, whether that be an urban landscape or nature. I grew up around a variety of people of all backgrounds which allows me to be able to adapt to anyone. With my creativity/out of the box, inclusivity as my main objective, and adaptability, it pushes me to strive to include that in my teaching.
My goal as an educator is to create an environment for my students to feel that they belong and make learning fun. I want my students to want to come to school and be eager to learn, to further lower high school dropout rates.
Building a diverse and inclusive community in my classroom is one of my main objectives. I was raised in a neighborhood filled with various cultures around the world. This gave me an understanding and ability to adapt to anyone.
