Meet the Educator

Meet your child's educator(s) and explore their classroom on Thursday, September 18th, from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. Our doors will be open at 4:30 and there will be maps posted to help you navigate to your child's classroom.

Terry Fox

On Wednesday, October 1st 2025, we will honour Terry Fox's legacy by participating in our annual school-wide run/walk. We're dedicated to continuing his mission of raising funds for cancer research by raising $2000.00 this year. You can support our efforts by making a one-time online donation through our OLW link: https://schools.terryfox.ca/104788. We will also collect Toonies for Terry on the day of the event as well as:

Friday September 19th for Sprirt Wear day
Friday September 26th for PJ day

Every contribution, big or small, helps us take one more step toward a future without cancer. Let's run/walk together, in spirit, for a cause that touches us all.

Fire Drill

On Friday afternoon we had our first fire drill. Everyone did great! From the little friends to the big friends, everyone was silent, walked calmly, and waited patiently for the all-clear.

We will build on our success and have our second practice this week.

Here's a quick overview of what students should do when they hear the fire alarm:

When the alarm sounds, students evacuate immediately, following the designated route.
Once outside, students line up with their class for attendance. Everyone must be accounted for. If a student is not with their class, they should use the nearest exit or join another class to evacuate safely, then find their class line.
We emphasize quiet, calm, and orderly evacuations. Students should listen carefully to their teachers for instructions.
There's no time for coats or boots, so please ensure your child keeps a sweater handy in class.

Please review these procedures with your child. If your child has significant anxiety about drills, please let their teacher know, and we'll do our best to support them.

Terry Fox will be on October 1st in the AM

School council's first meeting will be on Tuesday, September 23rd, 6:30-7:30. Elections will be held, which makes this meeting an important one for parents/guardians to attend.

School Council members provide input and advice to the Principal on topics such as:

local calendar of events and activities
school code of student behavior
school curriculum and program goals
selection of the Principal through the identification of a profile-type for the school
school budget priorities
school-community communication strategy ie methods of reporting to parents and the community
extra-curricular activities in the school

The School Council needs your voice, your input, your contribution to make the school better for all students, including yours!
