We are excited to share that we are re-imagining our recess experience to better support student play and well-being! We will be implementing these changes slowly, beginning with a school-wide assembly last Thursday morning to discuss new expectations and procedures with the students.

One of the biggest shifts currently being introduced? We are moving away from separating the yard by grade level. Instead, the yard will be organized by "Play Focus" zones—such as soccer, dramatic play, and creative play. This allows students to connect with peers who share their interests, regardless of their grade.  This will begin on Monday.

Our summer camps provide children and youth with opportunities to stay active, explore new interests, build confidence, and make new friends in a safe and welcoming environment. With programs ranging from arts and sports to STEM, themed adventure, and specialty camps, there is something for every camper.

Camps will run June 29 – August 14, 2026, at OCSB locations across Ottawa, with weekly full-day programs and extended hours available at select sites.
