Thank you to Father Martin for leading us in Mass last week. It was particularly special to celebrate the end of the year together as a community. Many of our Grade 2s were excited to celebrate the Eucharist for the first time at OLW, and our newly confirmed Grade 6 students were excellent role models, as always. The choir led us in singing beautiful praise to the Lord.
We would like to extend our deepest thanks to Mrs. Desjardins at the parish who supports OLW's close relationship with Divine Infant Parish.
Thank you to everyone who made the End of Year OLW Fun Fair such a huge success! The event was a hit with attendees but also helped us raise funds for our Playground initiative.
We are excited to announce that June Play Day will take place on Wednesday June 24th, 2026. Please note that some activity stations will involve water, so we recommend dressing your child in appropriate clothing as they may get a little wet. Shorts, t-shirts, a hat, and sunscreen are ideal. It is recommended to also send an extra set of clothes for after the activities.
This year, Grades KG-2 will participate in the morning session (8:45–11:15 AM), while Grades 3-6 will enjoy the afternoon session (12:15–2:30 PM).
Volunteer Help Needed:
To ensure a successful and enjoyable day, we are seeking adult volunteers to assist with the outdoor games. If you are available to help, please email annette.thompson@ocsb.ca and indicate your availability for either the AM session (8:40–11:00 AM) or the PM session (12:15–2:30 PM). Adults do need their Vulnerable Sector Check to volunteer. This is also a wonderful opportunity for high school students to earn volunteer hours!
We look forward to a fun-filled day of activities and community spirit! Thank you for your support in making this event memorable for our students.
As the school year winds down, we are excited to celebrate our Grade 6 students and their wonderful achievements as they prepare to move on to the next chapter!
Please save the date for our upcoming Grade 6 Leaving Ceremony:
Date: Tuesday, June 23rd
Time: 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Guest Limit: Due to space constraints, each student is allowed a maximum of two guests.
Student Arrival: Students should arrive at school at their regular time (or shortly after) so they have plenty of time to get settled and ready before the ceremony begins.
We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with you and our amazing students!

School Council is excited to share that we are working toward a new playground structure for our Grade 1–6 students.
Over the years, thanks to your support, we’ve been able to organize school events and fund initiatives such as student activities, graduation support, Chromebooks, and outdoor equipment. Now, we’re taking on our biggest project yet. This is a large goal, and we’ll be working together as a community through fundraising events and initiatives over the coming months and years.
We’d love for you to follow along and support:
