The temperature has changed, and so must our outerwear. It is time for sweaters, jackets and perhaps a hat and gloves. Students spend a significant part of their day outdoors. Together we will stay warm and cozy as an Our Lady of Wisdom Community!

Photo retake day is Tuesday. If you would like to have your child's photo taken (because you missed the original day) or would like a new photo done, please advise your child's teacher. The deadline for ordering Edge photos has been extended to October 31st.
We will have a school-wide dance party outside (weather permitting) during block 2 on Friday, October 2025. Students can also choose to participate in some quieter activities such as puzzles or board games in the Learning Commons.
Classes have been hard at work collaborating on their design and decoration of their pumpkin for the Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Pumpkins will be displayed for viewing and voting. The winning class will receive a pizza lunch. A huge thank you to our Parent Council for organizing and preparing this event for our school.

Save the Date! Our Lady of Wisdom’s Sparkle & Snow Soirée is coming soon!
Join us for a magical evening of music, dancing, and winter sparkle hosted by the OLW Parent Council! This family event will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025, at St. Matthew High School (we’re using their gym to ensure there’s plenty of space for everyone to enjoy).
Time: 6:00 – 8:30 PM
Sensory-Friendly Slot: 5:30 – 6:00 PM (for families who prefer a quieter environment to start with)
Admission: $2.50 per child (maximum $10 per family)
Each child will receive one glow stick with admission!
Families are welcome to pre-order pizza and purchase tickets for the evening below. Snacks and drinks will also be available for purchase at the event.
Please note that this is a family event and parents and/or guardians must stay with their children for the duration of the dance, as there will be no child supervision provided.
A Sensory Room will be open during the dance, featuring crafts, and a calm space for any child who needs a short break from the excitement.
Dress Code: There’s no specific dress code and families are welcome to come as they are! Whether you prefer cozy winter sweaters or your fanciest sparkle outfits, it’s all about having fun and celebrating together.
