To ensure the safety and well-being of all our students, please remember that yard supervision begins at 8:15 AM.
For the safety of your children, students should not arrive on school grounds or attempt to enter the building before this time, as there are no staff members on duty to bridge the gap between arrival and the start of the school day. Thank you for partnering with us to build a safe start to our day!
With the recent snowfall, we know how much our students love the "snow mountain" that has formed near the front parking lot! While it looks like a winter wonderland, we want to share a gentle reminder about why we need to keep that area off-limits for play. Because the pile is right next to the parking lot, it can be very difficult for drivers to see children climbing or sliding down, especially during busy drop-off and pick-up times. We want to ensure all our students stay warm, dry, and most importantly, safe from moving traffic.
We encourage our students to stick to the designated play areas in the yard where they can enjoy the snow safely away from vehicles. Thank you for helping us keep our school community safe!
Master percussionist Fana Soro will introduce the traditional playing techniques of the djembé, West Africa’s most popular drum, to our Grade 4, 5 and 6 students. The workshop will take place in French, enriching both our Arts and French as a Second Language programs.
