Titan II was the main vehicle used for the Gemini program, like the Redstone and Atlas of the Mercury program, Gemini takes its roots from an ICBM (Intercontinental Ballistic Missile). The vehicle was originally designed by the Glenn L. Martin Company as an ICBM, it was then used by NASA for a launch vehicle in the Gemini program. There were a total of 12 launches for the Gemini program, ranging from 1964-1966, 2 unmanned and 10 manned.
