Mission Summary: This will be the third of four lunar missions of the Apollo program. The mission will utilize the standard profile. First the crew service tower will retract, then at T-8 the main engines will ignite and ramp up to full thrust. Once the systems are confirmed to be running and the count reaches T-0, the vehicle will be released and the ascent will start. It will follow the standard pitch procedure and ascend. Once the first stage burns out the mid stage will continue the ascent. Then after that one burns out the third stage will give the final push to orbit. From there the capsule will undock and turn around so the lunar module and command module are connected via the nose docking port. From there the vehicle will push the orbit out towards the moon and setup and encounter. Apollo will then glide to the encounter. Once it reaches it the engines will circularize the orbit around the moon. Once in a stable orbit two of the three crew members will transfer to the lunar module and undock. Then a safe distance will be reaches with the two vehicles and the lunar module will begin the descent to the surface. The lunar engine will then guide the module to a safe propelled touchdown on the surface. Surface operations then begin, including and EVA, or extravehicular activity. Once the window opens the lunar module will separate in half, with the top half ascending and the bottom remaining on the surface. Once in orbit of the moon the crew will transfer to the command module and the lunar module will be jettisoned, the command module will then make a burn to return to Earth (or Kerbin in this case, Earth's in game analog). The capsule will then glide back to Earth and enter the atmosphere where it will splashdown and get recovered.
