Christina grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and attended the same school district her children attend today. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and MBA from Penn State. Inspired by her father and uncles, who were all chemical engineers, she was drawn to math and science and the opportunities an engineering career could provide.
Christina began her career at Solvay, working at a fluoropolymers manufacturing plant as a Technical Service Engineer. In this role, she partnered closely with customers and manufacturing teams to solve product performance and quality challenges, spending much of her time in both the lab and the plant. She later moved into technical sales and new business development at Merck KGaA, where she supported new product launches and gained valuable experience on the business side of the industry.
In her final year of business school, Christina transitioned into a sales role with AkzoNobel, where she managed a territory spanning the entire East Coast of the United States and Canada. While she gained essential commercial and business experience in this role, the extensive travel ultimately led her to pursue a different career path.
In 2020, Christina joined PPG in Procurement as a Global Category Manager. She currently serves as the Global Procurement Business Partner for Automotive, where she combines her technical background and business expertise to support strategic sourcing and business decisions for a global manufacturing organization. Her curiosity and desire to understand how things work—both technically and organizationally—have been key drivers of her career growth.
Christina lives in the Pittsburgh area with her three children and three cats. She enjoys photography, travel, and crocheting, and encourages students to stay curious, work hard, and remain open to opportunities they may not expect
