I earned my architecture degree from Penn State in a five-year accredited program. After graduating, I moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where I worked for a design firm focused on large custom homes and also helped design a local theater. We also skied a lot. I later returned home to work in my family’s architecture firm.
I became Passive House certified, a design approach that leads toward net-zero buildings. To gain more experience in sustainable design, I worked in a Pittsburgh firm on a net-zero apartment building and a LEED Gold project. Today, I’m back at my family’s firm, where I primarily design restaurants, homes and additions, townhouses, daycares, community buildings and office buildings. I closely with owners to take their ideas and turn them into spaces that work for how they live or work and use them.
